Noticed that sorting by Best Overall Score sorts professors by their mean score, then by the number of reviews, then alphabetically. Also noticed that professors with no votes are placed at the bottom as a result, and many profs only have 1 vote.
Perhaps instead of using the mean itself, it might be more accurate to calculate the 95% confidence interval of their rating, and to rank them on that basis? This would also mean that professors with 0 or 1 reviews only won't be shown, which might help to prevent disgruntled students from giving a 1 star review and immediately bombing their prof's rating.
